Truthfully, I can’t remember the last time I sat down to write a newsletter, but we’re approaching the release of my sophomore novel, HARLEM SUNSET, and I thought it was time to reach out again.
But like, how beautiful, ya know?
I would love to say that I am one hundred per cent more zen. This is old hat. This is my second book, and therefore, I am totally chill.
None of that is true.
What helps is that I’ve completely dove into writing what I’ve been calling #LOU3. I don’t know if you heard, but I signed a contract for books 3 and 4 in the series, so there is definitely more books on the way.
(Plus, maybe a TV series ;))
So, anyway, the main point of this one is I’m on substack now and I still have nothing to say.
This really is the greatest newsletter of all time.

I’m not currently sewing anything, but I just went to Paris, and all the extremely fashionable French Girlies™️ were wearing chanel-esque tweed suits, and even tho I profoundly say FUCK COCO CHANEL (AND HUGO BOSS) I want a tweed suit really badly, so that may be next on the list.
And my cousin is getting married in september. The category is eleganza extravaganza (it’s also a RuPaul’s Drag Race Runway, apparently) and so stay tuned to find out with dress from the Marvellous Mrs. Maisel I picked to dupe to wear to it.
I need to hold on to my (self-appointed) title of Hottest Cousin™️.
